  • What are the benefits of Suisse Bancorp’s lawsuit lending services?
      - Your client may have immediate financial obligations and require funds until they receive their settlement payment, or while they wait for liens against their case to be resolved. By receiving a loan from Suisse Bancorp at these times, your client gains the financial freedom to be able to hold out for the best possible settlement.
  • What is the interest rate on a Suisse Bancorp loan?
      - Suisse Bancorp is a single rate lender; our interest rate is 45% compounded annually. Suisse Bancorp charges simple day-to-day interest and only charges interest for the number of days a loan is outstanding.
  • Are there any fees on the loan?
      - Yes. Suisse Bancorp charges a one-time processing fee of $25.00 for each loan. This fee is added to the principal amount. For example, the principal amount on a $1,000.00 loan would be $1,025.00.
  • How does the loan process work at Suisse Bancorp?
  • How long does the loan process take?
      - If we receive the one page case information sheet from your office before 12:00pm, and follow up with you, typically we can have an answer for your client the same day. Otherwise the typical timeframe we see is about one to three business days.
  • How long does it take a client to receive their approved loan funds?
      - Once a loan has been assessed and approved by our underwriters, funds can typically be processed and distributed within 24 to 72 hours, sometimes sooner.
  • What do I, as the attorney, have to submit on behalf of my client to obtain a loan?
      - At Suisse Bancorp, we have a one page case information sheet that needs to be filled out for our underwriters to evaluate and approve the loan. The case information sheet will be faxed to your office, and also can be found here on our website under the download section.
  • Is it possible to structure or get pre-approved for loan amounts?
      - Sometimes you may have a client whose case may take a year or two to settle. In such a situation, Suisse Bancorp can divide a larger loan into smaller monthly loans for your client. Not only does this method provide your client with some type of regular income, but it also saves money on interest. Please refer to our structured settlement chart for an example of how much can be saved with structured loans.
  • How is the lawsuit loan paid back?
      - For each loan a borrower receives, they sign a document giving their permission for the attorney’s office to pay Suisse Bancorp, in full, out of their portion of the settlement. Once your client’s claim is settled, we ask that you contact Suisse Bancorp to obtain a full and final payoff figure. Also, there is no prepayment penalty. If your client chooses to make payments on the loan, or pay it off prior to settlement, they can do so without charges.
  • Will I violate the rule of professional conduct if I refer clients to Suisse Bancorp?
      - No. Suisse Bancorp found that a client referral does NOT constitute a violation of the Rule of Professional Conduct (RPC) in general, or Rule 1.8(d), specifically.
